It’s time to set a new Goodreads Reading Challenge goal!
Are you doing the Goodreads Reading Challenge this year? Last year I set my goal as 40 books, and had already completed the challenge in October. I managed to read 51.5 books in 2017, and while I’m super pleased with that number, I’m not bumping up the challenge too far this year. I’ve decided to challenge myself to 45 books, but I may reevaluate and bump it up come mid-year. We shall see.
If you follow along on Blogger’s Bookshelf then you’ll soon see our post with the 5 books we’re vowing to read in 2018. We compile this list every year, but I have never read all 5 of the books I choose. Last year I read 4/5 which I was very happy with, so maybe this year will be the year I read them all!
This year on BB, we’re also doing a Book Club, with the theme of short stories. I’m really enjoying this already, having picked up our January book, Tales of the Peculiar by Ransom Riggs. I’m in charge of picking February’s book, so stayed tuned for that! It’s a good one! This book club means I’ll be reading a lot of short stories this year, which is definitely new for me. I enjoy a short story here and there, but have never really been into anthologies. I think I prefer one story in a book, but I’m looking forward to branching out this year.
Feel free to add me as a friend on Goodreads, or suggest a book to me!
What about you? Are you taking part in the Goodreads Reading Challenge for 2018? How many books do you hope to read?
