It’s time for another Goodreads Reading Challenge!
Every year I take part in the Goodreads Reading Challenge. If you’re unfamiliar, the booklovers website creates an opportunity for users to set a reading challenge each year and check off the books they read as they go. It’s a good challenge, and is a great way to track what you read throughout the year.
For 2018 I set my challenge to 45 and managed to read 79.5, so I definitely overshot it. However last year was an out-of-the-box year, as our Blogger’s Bookshelf Book Club theme for 2018 was short stories. We read many books under 200 pages, so that quickly bumped up the challenge list numbers. I also read about seven comics, which were a lot shorter than novels.
In 2019, I’ve decided to up my goal, but only to 50. Our Book Club theme this year is a bit different, so we will be doing away with the short stories, meaning there’s no way I’ll be reading 70+ books. 50 is more than I set for the past two years, but not too ambitious.
I’ve already read one, so we’re looking good so far!
Are you doing the Goodreads Reading Challenge this year? How many books do you aim to read?
