With National Novel Writing Month just around the corner, it’s all I’ve been thinking about recently. So much so that I create a word count tracker printable. I know that you can track your words on the NaNo site, and it’s beneficial for you to add your count each day to the site so can see your progress in graph form, but if you’re like me then you like to have things physically written down somewhere.
The past few years of doing NaNo, I’ve written my count down in a notebook, but I love being to see an entire month spread out in calendar form. That’s where this printable comes in. Because I love sharing things with people, I thought that you guys out there might like this, at least to give it a go.
On the printable there’s every day in November 2016, with the date, how many words you should have by then (called ‘goal’), a place to write in how many words you wrote that day, what your total word count after that is, and also how many coffees you had that day in order to actually get there. I’ve only put 4 coffees on each day, because if you’re drinking that much coffee you should probably cut back.
Mostly. Swap it out for water, or even tea.
But in all seriousness, I hope this word count tracker helps you out this November. I’m looking forward to using mine properly (and not just in ‘demo’ mode like the pictures here – Fun fact, I used my first NaNo’s word progress for this demo). Flick me a Tweet or tag me on Instagram if you end up using it! I’d love to see it in use.
Click the link below, and it will take you to the file, where you can right click, ‘save as’, and then print it up to A3 size. Enjoy! And happy writing!
