I’m ashamed to say it’s been about 10 months since the last Current Colour Crush. To be honest, the only reason I can think of to use as an excuse, is that it go lost in the summer, and then as I moved to WordPress I sort of forgot about it. Then as I was scrolling through Pinterest the other day I realised how much I was loving the lemony yellow colour of so many different things. And then I remembered that usually I would share such colour loves.
Normally I would share a dress without a human in it, but this DIY lemon print dress from Merrick’s Art was just too cute not to share. Look at it. Look.At.It. And man she totally rocks it. I used to have a lemon dress when I was younger, passed on to be by a friend, and while it definitely no longer fits me (it seems I’m not 12 anymore) I’m thinking about chopping it in two and making a skirt.
I’ve always loved yellow – except mustard, never been keen on mustard. It’s just such a happy colour. You can’t be sad when you see yellow, surely? I love all the things in this collection. The chair there is actually one found at a yard sale (link below), and it’s been something I’ve been wanting to do with the chair I’m sitting on as I write this. It’s not as cool, but it’s boring and brown and a little tired looking. Ever since I’ve had it I’ve wanted to sand it down and give it some yellow paint. I think now’s the time.
Check out these other awesome lemon/yellow things I’m currently loving:
