I seem to be doing a lot of travelling around New Zealand. I think it’s now because I live in Auckland. Prior to living in this huge, humid city, I didn’t really do too much travelling around New Zealand, other than down south for Christmas or the annual trip to Auckland to visit family. Of course I had been to a most of the main cities, but since moving to Auckland, I think the need to get out of Auckland is major. So when an opportunity arose to head down to Wellington to visit some good friends of mine, I jumped on it.

And guys, they live right next to the zoo. Ohmygosh. I’ve been to Wellington Zoo several times, but it’s the zoo. Which means you can go back as many times as you can and it’s still a wonderful place. My friend and her nearly-1-year-old son and I headed to zoo on Friday, and while Wellington had cranked up the wind for us (*rolls eyes*) it was a very fun morning.

If you ever get a chance to head along to Wellington Zoo, do it. Since I was there last, they have added and expanded a bunch of enclosures and it’s even better than the awesome zoo it was before.

Welcome to Wellington Zoo!
