I know that the last time I introduced you to another blog I had set up sort of crashed and failed, but this one will not! Mostly because I’m going to be working on a portfolio, and hoping to become more of freelance travel writer. Which leads me to introduce you to … *drum roll* The Wandering Jandal!
Now, because you guys know me, and you know I’m a New Zealander, you should hopefully know by now what the heck a ‘jandal’ is. If you’re new around here, it’s basically just what us Kiwis call a flip flop. Don’t ask me why, I don’t know. Don’t ask me where it came from, I don’t know. But that’s what we call them.
This came about when I discovered the website Travelicious, which let you post your travel-related articles and lists on their website. The whole idea that I could be writing more travel posts, especially about the all the places I’ve been, was genius (if not a little obvious…I’m slow, sorry), so I thought about all the things I could write about (yes, there was a long list), and figured why not give it a go!
So I began The Wandering Jandal. It’s a blog where I will be sharing travel tips and tricks, lists and reasons you should visit certain places. It’s where (hopefully) travel website will be able to see what I’m writing and, fingers crossed, might want me to write on their websites. We’ll see how that goes.
So what does that mean for From L&P to English Tea? Absolutely nothing! *cheer* Nothing is changing. I’m still going to be sharing my Auckland Adventures and trips around the country and any overseas escapades I make in the future. Everything will be the same. The Wandering Jandal is simply an additional place for me to share specific travel posts, a place where all the things I’ve learnt from travel will be. From L&P to English Tea may tell you about what I did in, say, London, and the places I went to, the people I saw. But a similar post on The Wandering Jandal would give you 10 reasons to visit London, or 5 things to avoid doing when you go to London.
I hope that makes sense and I hope that doesn’t scare you off. I will still be here. Everything is same.
