Oh Autumn, How do I love thee? Let me count the ways…
I love the yellows, oranges, reds and browns of everything. Although I only really like the colour yellow out of that list, Autumn makes me like the others…for a season.
I love how I now have an excuse to wear warmer cardigans and boots.
I love the necessity of tights and leg warmers (at first I wrote ‘legs and leg warmers’, but just let me stress, my dear friends, the importance of legs no matter what the season).
I love going out of my way to step on crunchy leaves and getting the ‘mwaahaha’ feeling as they crumble beneath my feet…evil, I know.
I love cooler temperatures. It means cooler (but warmer) clothes, but not so many layers that you feel like you’re now the hugest person on the planet.
I love pretending that I’m Gandalf by breathing out and watching my breath not at all resemble a ship going through a smoke ring…makes me practice more.
I love scarves! So much!
I love my New Zealand Marino wool half gloves that I have. They are like fingerless gloves, but they don’t even have half fingers on them. Doesn’t make sense does it? They are warm, but not too hot. You know? Yeah, they’re awesome.
I love soup for dinner.
I love hot chocolates and snuggling under my duvet watching TV shows at night. Actually…this happens all year round…
I love how, for a few weeks, there’s both a carpet and a canopy of colour, no matter where you are. Pretty pretty pretty.
I love autumn.
What do you love about autumn?
